Ww2 couldve been prevented in 37/38 but weak leadership stopped it. But tbf many western leaders had seen the horrors of ww1 and were desperate to avoid that or worse. Sadly they were facing a monster who didnt think like them didnt care like them and didnt operate like them. Like now with Putin.
Churchill may have cheered war in aug 1914. He certainly didnt in 1939.
I don't think you listened to the podcast Evola's Sunglasses! I suggest you read Andrew Roberts' biography "Walking with Destiny" about Churchill. Churchill himself referred to WW2 as a potentially "unnecessary war" in the sense that strong leadership could/would have prevented it!

Churchill was even cheering on for Britain to get involved in WW1. A dreadful warmonger who set in motion our decline.
All our problems today flow from getting involved in these 2 wars of choice.
